Team Gladiator wins the PAWF Fall State Team Championship.  Six wrestlers capture individual crowns.

Gladiator Wrestling Club wins the PAWF Fall State Team Championship with six champions.  The six champions were Scott Wolfinger, John Collins, Colin Bynum, John Bolich, Jon Weibel, and Sean Hutchison.  The three runner-ups were Nick Lynch, David Malischewski, and Seth Gray. The two thirds were james Nicholson and Eric Koch. John Felice finished in fourth.

The 2007 Spring FS/GR Season for Gladiator Wrestling Club will begin on Monday, March 26

2007 Gladiator Wrestling Camp held July 16-20

The Gladiator Wrestling Camp will be held July 16 - 20, 2007 at Quakertown HS from 9 am - 12 noon. Guest Clinician includes John Hangey (Assistant Wrestling Coach at Rider University). Coach Hangey was Quakertown HS first State Champion and an NCAA All-American at Rider.

Gladiator Wrestling Club FALL Session begins on Tuesday, September 12, 2006.

The FALL Session will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6:30 - 8 pm) from September 12 - November 2, 2006 at Quakertown HS. Registration will be held on Tuesday, September 12 at 6 pm. Download the PDF brochure.
 
Gladiator is designed for wrestlers looking to gain a preseason edge over the competition, and well as increase their exposure to college programs and coaches.
 

 
Chris Ayers, assistant coach at Lehigh, was selcted as the new head wrestling coach at Princeton.
 
Princeton University has announced that former Lehigh All-American and assistant coach Chris Ayres has been named the new head wrestling coach of the Tigers.

Cadet Anthony Severo 5K Run/Walk
A former wrestler named Tony Severo was killed in an automobile accident by a drunk driver last November. Tony was a cadet entering his senior year at West Point when this tragic accident happened. I helped coach Tony while he was a student at Parkland HS. It was truely my pleasure to work with him.
  
The Cadet Anthony Severo 5K Run/Walk will be held Sunday, September 24, 2006 at Parkland HS. The purpose of this run is to bring awareness and education to Driving After Drinking." The proceeds will benefit Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) and Parkland Wrestling Scholar Athlete (PWSA) scholarship(s).

Zeke Jones (Head Coach at Penn, US Olympic Silver Medalist) was selected as the AWN "Rookie Coach of the Year."
 
Jones coached his first NCAA Champion, Matt Valenti, in his first season at Penn. Coach Jones, along with freshman NCAA Qualifier Matt Dragon, were guest clinician and counselor at Gladiator Wrestling Club on Monday, May 15.

2006 District 11 Wrestling Hall of Fame Inductee

Five new members were inducted into the District 11 Wrestling Hall of Fame including, from left, Gary Blockus, Dave Mutton, Cory DeBias, Scott Hovan and Pat Sculley. The ceremony was held at the Best Western in Bethlehem Sunday night.

TWO PAWF QUALIFIERS THIS WEEKEND (Waynesburg & Northeast)
They are down to only three remaining PAWF qualifiers in this year's Freestyle and Greco tournament series. This Saturday, the qualifier will be hosted at Waynesburg High School and on Sunday, Northeast High School will host a tournament. Greco weigh-ins will be open from 8-8:30 at both qualifiers. The new FILA rules will be in effect for all age groups this year.
